You can now pay to be ‘liked’
Apparently, you can now buy ‘likes’ on Instagram.
Clifton Webb, @CliftonW21 tweeted on Monday: “Fake Likes on Instagram are big business — big business that I hate!”
According to www.timesofoman.com, the fake “likes” are sold in batches of 1,000 on Internet hacker forums, where cyber criminals also flog credit card numbers and other information stolen from PCs.
The article said that according to encryption experts, 1,000 Instagram “followers” can be bought for $15 and 1,000 Instagram “likes” go for $30, whereas 1,000 credit card numbers costs as little as $6.
Facebook owns Instagram and said they would be beefing up security.
I hope no one in Bermuda is buying likes and followers. Seems super shady to me.
Fairmont Southampton received a thumbs up on Twitter this week from freelance travel writer Nicola Dunkinson.
Ms Dunkinson is currently staying at the hotel and wrote an entry on her blog about how much she enjoyed the brunch offered at Windows on the Sound. She tweeted the blog entry and it was retweeted by the Fairmont.
Fairmont Southampton @fairmontsouth Nice blog post, thx! Looks yummy! RT @ndunkinson: It’s all about brunch in #Bermuda!
I can attest to the brunch good enough to blog and tweet about.
Speaking of food, did you know that you can order food boat side in St George’s?
David Zuill of David Rose Jewellery in St George’s tweeted about a boat pulling up to Tavern by the Sea and appeared to be ordering food. He posted a photo through Instagram.

Sounds nice — I must try it one day.
