Stefanuik heads Optimist sailors
There were a number of strong performances from Bermudians at the New England Optimist Championships.
Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club sailor Adam Larson continued recent good form by finishing 82nd out of 293 but he was topped by Tayte Stefanuik, who came 74th and Camille Chin-Gurret, who came 76th.
Further down the standings was George Buckley (116), Alice Reeves (157) and Grace Reeves (184).
Campbell Patton was also in action over the weekend, recording an excellent 7th place out of 99 at The Cork Regatta in Canada. Larson was also competing, coming a credible 19th.
Wollmann, Dill lined up
Mike Wollmann and Peter Dill will compete in San Francisco on August 17-18 in the O’pen BIC Hi-Wind Slalom, off the America’s Cup Village at the Marina Gree.
Racing will be held immediately before and after the AC72 races in the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Finals.
The largest spectator event ever to witness junior sailing is expected.
