First look at new bowling facility

A bowling alley in Southside will reopen next month with a new name and a new look. 

The former Southside Family Bowl has been upgraded and is now called Strykz Bowling Lounge. 

The interior features orange and red paint with a new logo and new images above the lanes. 

There are said to be ten lanes in the newly renovated space. The building is owned by the Bermuda Land Development Corporation.

Phillip Bailey is running the bowling alley. He also operates party rental business All 4 Fun.

Southside Family Bowl closed in October 2011, resulting in seven job losses. 

Former owner Dejuan Seymour told us at the time that the business was struggling financially. 

Strykz Bowling Lounge is located at 27 Southside Road, St David’s.
