Tourist airlifted overseas after accident (Update)
The 59 year old American man injured in a single vehicle rental cycle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Honey Hill around 11:30am Friday, April 12th has been flown overseas for further medical treatment after initially receiving medical care at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
His wife was the pillion passenger at the time and received relatively minor injuries in the collision. Inquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Christopher Brady on 295-0011.
Around 11:30am on Friday, April 12th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle rental cycle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Honey Hill.
The rider, a 59 year old American man and his wife (pillion passenger) were injured. At last check the rider was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and likely to be flown overseas for further medical treatment. His wife received relatively minor injuries.
The rental cycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Christopher Brady on 295-0011.
