A new show opens tonight by De Boys Day Out Club presented by Milton Hill.
The show at the Bermuda Society of Arts is by members of the organization which is dedicated to the emotional and social well being of our young men. Founded by Milton Richardson in 1995 the club is an all-male mentoring programme teaching young men from the ages of ten up to 21 to be respectful, responsible, happy and productive.
A spokeswoman said: “In De Boys art you can see the diversity and creativity of these young men featuring both land and sea.”
The art process features the use of Bermuda cedar, plywood, acrylic paint, 18-carat gold leaf with various dioramas.
A separate art exhibition by Bermuda College students opens at the Bermuda Society of Arts this evening which includes a live performance.
The show is described as “a colourful and exciting exhibition… that proves to be one of the highlights of the year for the gallery.”
The show opens at 5pm and there will be wine and hors d’oeuvres served.
