Shady dealings down south add impetus to calls for more answers in Bermuda
No matter what the motivation of those pointing to corrupt practices by Bermuda's current administration, the range and instances of suspected corruption are growing. And the public's irritation is growing also.
Letter - Constructive dialogue will lead us to real solutions
I would like to express my appreciation to those who have submitted informative and compelling responses to my two articles about water conservation, printed in the Bermuda Sun [February 27 & March 6].
Letter - I can't see benefits of reverse osmosis plant
While I applaud Ms Hallett's commitment to the environment I must take issue with some of her comments. Although not an oceans specialist I am a water engineer with almost 40 years of experience, 25 of them in Bermuda.
Letter - Well designed desalination plants are sustainable
Rowan Hallett's article entitled 'Making saltwater drinkable could leave a sour legacy' is wide of the mark and I feel compelled to respond.

The role of companies in affecting social change
Despite the progress that has been made since Bermuda desegregated in 1959, here we are 50 years later and there is still equity disparity based on race.

How structural racism works in BDA
In the first part of this series, published last Wednesday, I discussed why it is that white people and people of colour have different perspectives about the current status of race relations and why diversity training is only the first step in the process of understanding how structural racism continues …

The biggest plus to having casinos in Bermuda would be the potential boost to tourism.

Ways that firms can be proactive on racial equality
In the first two parts of this series, published on March 25 and April 1, I wrote about why it is that white people and people of colour have different perspectives about the current status of race relations and why diversity training is only the first step in the process …
Strain of recession is prising couples apart
While the news is saturated with information on job losses and pyramid schemes, political rhetoric surrounding so-called tax havens, and cutting coupons, there's one arena of the credit crunch that is being avoided: its impact on relationships.
Use your AIG shares to tip the grocery store packers
Writing about the lighter side of the current economic mess is a bit like being the guy at Ford's Theatre in Washington on Good Friday 1865 who asked "Aside from that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"
BDA's like an obese person forced to go on a diet
The global economy is shrinking. What that means is that there's less real wealth to go around, even as the number of people claiming on it are continuing to grow.
