LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Dr. Brown saved my life

I love Bermuda and my family and I now live in North Carolina.  I’m a former patient of Dr. Ewart Brown. First I’m a retired employee of the New York Times.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: I am ashamed I did not confront foul-mouthed youths on the bus

I am ashamed. I am disappointed in myself and the actions that took place today. I decided to catch the bus home, finding my seat in front of a group of teens — or should I say young children, both male and female.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Our tourism focus is far too narrow

With regard to the new 122-bed Park Hyatt hotel, 70 Condos, four four-bedroom private homes, two tennis courts, golf course plus 160-room staff quarters.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: If you are going to attack me, at least get your facts straight

I must respond to Stuart Hayward’s opinion column, for several reasons. Since Mr. Hayward was not present in the Senate on the day in question and only read the abridged version of my comments during the Motion to Adjourn, he was writing from a point of ignorance.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Bermudian jobs will be lost unless the SDO is approved

Please allow me to present a case for the SDO. Tucker's Point directly employs 243 employees, over 90 per cent are Bermudian.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: The Trippes have been respectful and I support the SDO

I would like to share with you my mother's and my appreciation to the respect, concern and interest of our family ancestry grave site located at the foot of the Tucker's Point Golf Club driving range.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Time to give gays their human rights

It is time for the media to start naming the campaign to amend the' Human' Rights Act as just that. When headlines proclaim 'gay rights', it sensationalizes, trivializes and confuses the public.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: What happened to civility?

My family has lived in the same area for over 100 years. We give full respect to our fellow islanders never would I have imagined that any one of the following, let alone all of them taking place.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Our visit to Bermuda was a joy

The attitudes and characteristics exhibited by Bermuda's citizens affirmatively attest to a certain nationalistic pride that does not occur overnight but is instead cultivated over time.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Minister's progressive comments on drug leniency should be acted upon

Delaey Robinson: Minister Perinchief's comments on cannabis legislation are clearly a step in the right direction that should have been taken long ago.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Your story on the 'Queen of the East' brought fond memories flooding back

When a once pristine and charming historic home like the Queen of the East is torn down, it is gone forever.

Letter: It's wrong to blame government and let parents off the hook

Instead of trying to ‘fix’ broken children, why can’t we move towards not creating broken children? Then we wouldn’t have to fix them.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Letter: Teddy found wreck

The Warwick wreck was discovered in 1967 by Bermudian diver Mr Teddy Tucker working with Professor Mendel Peterson.

OPINION

Letter: What can you tell me about this boat?

I wonder if any of your veteran readers could tell me anything about the small passenger boat 'Priscilla', an ex U.S. Navy 63ft AVR or 'Crash Boat', which operated in Bermuda.

OPINION

Letter: Help me find boat saviour

Lorraine Bull rented a Boston Whaler in Somerset, but had engine trouble. A passing boat captain named Dean helped her and she'd like to thank him.
