William Grange remains missing – search party calls on residents and businesses to check security camera footage in Sandys and Southampton.
An island-wide search for missing tourist William Grange is taking a fresh approach with a call for a review of security camera footage around Bermuda.
It is unknown how many such cameras are in operation. So we are calling on businesses, private homeowners and tenants who operate such cameras in the Sandys and Southampton areas to check footage recorded on the weekend of May 2.
The times of specific interest are from 10 p.m. on Friday May 2, to noon on Saturday, May 3.
If you are an employee of a business in the Sandys and Southampton area, please assist by bringing this call to your manager’s attention.
William Grange, 67, was reported missing from Cambridge Beach resort after going for a walk on the evening of May 2.
Police have scaled down a massive island wide search.
But a small search party, led by Mr Grange’s son, John, remains proactive in locating the missing man.
Journalist Ayo Johnson who has joined the search party said: “With everything else that is going on in Bermuda right now, it is important to remember that Mr. Grange has not been found.
“I spoke to John last night and he was full of gratitude for locals’ response to the effort. But the family is exhausted and at a complete loss as to how Mr. Grange could have disappeared without a trace.”
Mr Grange suffers from short-term memory loss and is on medication for seizures.
He is a 5’9” white man with white hair and was last seen wearing beige pants, a blue shirt, brown jacket and brown shoes.
