Conyers Dill & Pearman was named Offshore Law Firm of the Year by Chambers & Partners.
In its announcement of award winners, Chambers notes that “Conyers is acclaimed for its coverage of the Caribbean, Asia, the UK, Mauritius and the UAE. It is singled out for its exceptional strength in Bermuda.”
“We are delighted that Conyers has been named Offshore Law Firm of the Year by such a well-respected publication as Chambers,” said Narinder Hargun, Co-Chair, Conyers Dill & Pearman. “Receiving this top ranking validates our ongoing focus and commitment to providing innovative solutions and responsive client service.”
This recognition comes just weeks after Conyers was named a Band 1 offshore firm in Chambers Global 2014, Chambers’ most comprehensive directory covering the legal market worldwide.
“This award reflects the excellent work of our lawyers and the Firm’s ongoing commitment to providing best-in-class advice and service to our clients in the offshore market,” said David Lamb, Co-Chair, Conyers Dill & Pearman.
Other highlights of Conyers’ performance in Chambers Global 2014 include the recommendation of 35 of its professionals, including nine top-tier placements, across six practice areas as well as Band 1 endorsements in the Bermuda corporate and finance and dispute resolution categories, the British Virgin Islands corporate and finance and dispute resolution categories, and the UK offshore: Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law category.
Also contributing to Conyers’ success at the Chambers Global Awards are the Firm’s strong rankings in Chambers’ Asia-Pacific and UK guides.
In Chambers Asia-Pacific 2014, three of Conyers’ Hong Kong-based lawyers were recommended, with Chambers praising the Firm for its “notable strength in equity capital markets, including IPO transactions and high-profile listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.” The office is also “highly recommended” for its expertise in M&A and privatisation work and has been involved in many of the largest privatisation deals.
The UK guide recognised four of the Firm’s lawyers, highlighting the London office’s market standing and bench strength. “Their strength is that they are multi-jurisdictional specialists,” noted a client.
