Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) will be hosting an interactive, business-casual networking reception this Friday, May 2, at the Lemon Tree Café on Queen Street (Par-la-Ville Park entrance) from 5:30-9pm; to help expand your very important professional network.

This event is a great opportunity for individuals seeking to mix and mingle with seasoned professionals from a variety of industries while marketing themselves as valuable players eager to take their career in the right direction.

There will be a fun networking activity featuring a grand prize courtesy of Lemon Tree, drink specials throughout the night, and a complimentary ‘BEPRO Blu’ drink sample upon arrival.

This event is free but BEPRO will be collecting donations towards the medical bills of Kamala Smith, a young wife and mother, recently highlighted in the news concerning her current battle with a rare and debilitating cancer.

Validus dividend
Validus Holdings’ board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per common share and $0.30 per common share equivalent for which each outstanding warrant is exercisable.

The dividend is payable on June 30, 2014 to shareholders and warrant holders of record on June 13, 2014.

Montpelier $90m profit
Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. reported $90m in net income for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.

Fully converted book value per common share increased 5.8% for the quarter, to $31.01, computed after taking into account common share dividends declared.
