The Bermuda Open Championships concluded on Thursday with an exciting finish that could have been won by any of the final tee group, but was finally won by Justin Regier from North Carolina. After a 3rd round postponement due to high winds on Wednesday the players teed off at 7.30am this morning in order to complete 36 holes. The round 2 leader, Glenn Joyner was unable to find the form from his first two rounds and dropped back in to fourth place while Justin Regier played four steady rounds, shooting 1 under par in the final round to clinch the title. Michael Sims also recovered a poor 3rd round and came in 2nd place, two shots behind the leader.
In the amateur division, Jarryd Dillas was the winner with Mark Phillips taking second place after a good recovery. Dillas had a comfortable 12 stroke lead going in to the final round but a strong comeback by Phillips with a 9 shot swing in the final round saw his victory reduced to only 3 shots.
In the First Flight, Ian Page was the low gross winner with Andrew Trott winning the net prize.
