Beyond Rugby
The Beyond Rugby Championship Day takes place today at the National Sports Centre North Field from 4pm-6:30pm.
The event features the Aspen v Validus touch rugby game.
Attendance is free.
World Par-3
The Grey Goose World Par-3 Championship at Turtle Hill GC gets under way tomorrow.
There’s a feast of golf on offer for fans over the weekend, with players involved featuring the likes of former European Ryder Cup players Ronan Rafferty, Barry Lane and Gordon Brand Jr, who have 20 European Tour wins between them.
PGA Tour winner Ian Leggatt, three-time European Senior Tour winner and amateur legend Gary Wolstenholme, and two-time European Tour winner Mark Mouland are also competing in the event.
First tee off time at the Fairmont Southamptom Course is 7:15 and the last is 2:45pm.
Karting action
The Bermuda Karting Club put on another race day on Sunday at the Southside track as the championship heads towards a thrilling climax.
Last time out, three driers completed a clean sweep in their respective classes.
Scott ‘Skitchy’ Barnes won all three of his races in the TAG 125, while Brandon Frank won all three in the Shifters.
Not to be outdone, Zavier Smith won all three Junior Clone races.
The racing on Sunday gets under way at 12:30pm but get down at 10am to try out the rental karts.
New cricket season
The Bermuda Cricket Board has reminded clubs and players that the deadline for transfers is 5pm on Monday, March 31.
In a press statement, the BCB confirmed the 2014 season Logic 50 overs competition will be a two-division system. The National Under-17 team will play in the First Division. This year players will wear coloured clothing and use a white ball.
Premier Division: St. David’s CC;Southampton Rangers; Willow Cuts; Cleveland; St. George’s CC; Bailey’s Bay; Somerset CC.
First Division: Western Stars; Devonshire Recreation Club; Somerset Bridge; Flatts; PHC; Warwick Workmen’s; National U17s.
