If you’ve ever dreamed of walking the runway at a big fashion show while having the opportunity to be scouted, now is your chance.
Auditions for the Evolution Fashion Show will begin tomorrow and will run until Sunday. The fashion show itself will be held in July.
The first audition will be at TN Tatum Middle School on March 27 from 3:30pm to 6pm.
The following day it will be at Somersfield Academy at the same times.
On March 29 and 30, auditions will be held at
JaKoMa in the assembly hall at the old Berkeley Institute building from 11am to 3pm.
Danilee Trott, event project manager for the City of Hamilton, said she is looking for 150 models of all ages and sizes.
“Last year, we had 340 auditions. We picked 50 kids and 100 adults. All ages and sizes are welcome.
“We need men. Men are always the hardest to fill so we would encourage the guys to come out.
“We would like some tall men.”
As for requirements for the model call, Trott said: “We are asking the potential models to wear a white top and fitted denim bottoms. Women must bring four inch heels.
“Models who want to audition for swimwear will need to wear a bikini and swim trunks for men.
“Everyone who comes will be photographed and their walk will be videoed.
“We will also take their measurements.”
Trott said there is no need to pre-register, potential models just need to
attend the various locations during the set times and audition.
Students that are away in school can also audition digitally by emailing photos and videos.
Trott said boot camp for the fashion show starts in May.
“We have boot camp for four days and then we go right into rehearsals, which are twice a week right until the week of the final show. Rehearsals can be hectic but they’re definitely a lot of fun.
“If people aren’t looking to be a professional model, that’s fine. But those who are looking to have some kind of career in modelling, there are opportunities that come from participating in this event.”
There will be magazine editors and international scouts at this event.
“We will name our international delegation closer to the time,” said Trott.

Trott said Facebook is where the updates go first.”
