Bermuda Hospitality Institute invites all of Bermuda to get out and explore the Island during Bermuda’s second ever Hospitality Month! With over 30 organizations participating, including 11 newcomers, the events and deals this year are even better than before!
Hospitality Month was created with the aim of showcasing Bermuda’s unique offerings to its residents, so that locals will become more knowledgeable about their home and in turn can become great promoters and ambassadors for the Island. After all, who better to promote Bermuda than Bermuda residents?
To celebrate and promote Bermuda’s hospitality industry, April will be bustling with events and promotions for Island residents to enjoy. This year the theme is “Experience Bermuda,” and each week of the month will focus on a certain area of the island. The first week will highlight Central & City businesses and week two will focus on the East End; while organizations found on our Shores & Sounds will be showcased the third week, and last but not least the West End will be featured April 21 – 27.
Kicking off the month will be the highly anticipated (and sold out!) Plates of Passion event, a one-of-a-kind dining extravaganza featuring ten professional Bermuda chefs paired with Bermuda College culinary students. Also during the month the Bermuda Tourism Authority will host a reception for students participating in tourism & hospitality programs. In addition, the winners of BHI’s Hospitality Skills=Life Skills Program jingle competition, that saw Bermuda students creating a Bermuda-centric rhyme, will be revealed at this event.
Also, during Hospitality Month, Island residents can take advantage of many complimentary property tours showcasing the best of Bermuda’s accommodations and galleries, including tours at Rosewood Tucker’s Point, Grotto Bay Hotel & Resort, Bermuda National Gallery and Masterworks Foundation, among others.
Hospitality Month is also the best time to visit many of Bermuda’s top-notch dining establishments, water sports vendors and land attractions with discounts being offered at many participating organizations including the Bonefish Bar & Grill, Blue Hole Water Sports and Crystal Caves!
Were you thinking of chartering a boat for a special family outing? Or meaning to try out Sweet P’s Afternoon High Tea at the Bermuda Perfumery? What about that uniquely Bermudian gift you were hoping to grab from Bermuda National Trust’s gift shops? Hospitality Month is the perfect time to do just that and experience Bermuda!
