The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their vigilance regarding suspicious individuals in their neighbourhoods following reports of several burglaries recently.
As a result, a suspected prolific burglar was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Pembroke. He remains in police custody and a court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Despite this arrest, residents should continue to report any suspicious activity seen in their neighbourhoods, such as suspicious individuals and vehicles entering or leaving the area.
Most recently, police have been made aware of unknown persons attending homes claiming to be Cablevision employees working in the vicinity.
Accordingly, residents are advised to verify the intentions of any unsolicited individual(s) on their property by contacting the relevant company, if one is mentioned.
Alternatively, contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 immediately.
