All those islanders who have taken time out to be selfless are to be celebrated in an upcoming TV show Bermuda Highlights.

The show is produced by international television personality Amir of the Gino Group.

It will include the Sand Sculpting Competition held on Horseshoe Bay each year, a “breathtaking” performance by the Jericco Dance Company’s Through The Looking Glass held at City Hall leading into a recap of the Community and Cultural Affairs’ Emancipation Celebration

During this event the Berkeley Institute courtyard was transformed to include African warriors and tribesmen, and custom- made banners.

Finally, the Gino Group journeyed to Africa to cover the Mercedes Benz African Fashion Week and will give a sneak peek of some of the upcoming styles and fashions by some of Africa’s leading designers.

“It is a highlight to reinforce the really amazing positive things that are going on in the community from the Sand Sculpting Competition to the Emancipation event,” said Amir. “It is edited in an international form — we have lifted the standard of Broadcast in Bermuda. The overall thing is  a reflection of what is going on in our community. This is entertainment — when I say awesome I mean like AWESOME — and it is really refreshing. ”

Bermuda Highlights will screen tomorrow night on Channel 82 at 8pm. Amir promises that it will “leave viewers feeling fresh”.
