At approximately 3:50 pm on Friday June 27th, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a vehicle fire near Highwood Lane, Paget.

Fire Service spokesperson Leonard Davis reported that “the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to the mentioned incident with one fire appliance staffed with 4 firefighters. The Fire Service arrived on scene to find a truck trailer and its contents fully involved in fire. Two firefighters dressed in self-contained breathing apparatus and equipped with a 1 ½” hose line proceeded to put out the fire. The fire took approximately 5 minutes to extinguish.”

Belco was required to attend due to a fallen power line near the fire.

A fire investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire which is still under investigation.’
