A bee swarm caused the closure of Montpelier Road from Middle Road to the roundabout closest to the northern entrance to the Arboretum for a brief period this afternoon.
A bee swarm resulted in a road closure in the area of Montpelier Road from Middle Road to the roundabout closest to the northern entrance to the Arboretum. This closure has been introduced in the interest of public safety.
The Department of Parks deployed employees and beekeepers who coordinated the removal of the bees.
The road was opened later this afternoon.
