Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play championships gets under way

The Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championships got underway at Port Royal Golf Course today with the first tee time at 11:50am.

I am very pleased to report that we have 72 entries with 33 players in the Men’s Championship flight including the reigning champion Will Haddrell. There are also some other top level players including Jarryd Dillas, Dr. Robert Vallis, Hav Trott and Arthur Jones. This promises to be a very competitive tournament.

In the Ladies Championship Flight there are 10 players. Unfortunately Ebonie Burgess the reigning champion was unable to play this year but there is still a competitive field which includes Tariqah Walikraam, who has been away at college and has had some considerable success in her college golf.
