BIGGIE IRIE & SPLASH BAND are heading back to Bermuda. This band ripped it up in 2013 and this year we have asked them to close the night this September with a mixture of REGGAE & SOCA.
Biggie Irie is well known to many Bermudians and performed for 4 seasons at the Hawkins Island party nights. The Splash Band are a ten piece all Barbadian band whose members include Biggie Irie, Arturo Tappin on sax (Roberta Flack), Jimmy Duncan, Philip Brennan, Wayne Gibbs (former members of Ivory and founding members of Splash Band), Mikey Hulsmeier (drums) & Scott Galt (guitar) of the Red Boyz & John Roett on keyboards (Spice & Co and former band leader for Maxi Priest), David Morgan is on Percussion and Cameron Quintyne is on trumpet ! This band ROCKS – Sound man is Adrian Odle (Beres Hammond)




Hamish Stuart was a founding member of the Average White Band. In addition he toured with Paul McCartney and recently with Ringo & his AllStarr band!
Guitarist/bassist/vocalist and Glasgow native Hamish Stuart is best-known for his stint as one of the most actively contributing members of Scottish soulsters the Average White Band (best-known for their 1974 number one smash "Pick up the Pieces"). A member of AWB from 1972 to 1982, he went on to work with Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and David Sanborn. 

Stuart joined Paul McCartney’s band for McCartney's 1989 comeback album, Flowers in the Dirt, and appearing on several other albums and McCartney's world tours of 1989 and 1993

In 1999, Stuart's first solo album, an old-style funk/soul record titled Sooner or Later, was released in the U.K.; it was issued in the U.S. the following year. 

Apart from playing with his own group, the Hamish Stuart Band, and with his fellow Glaswegian guitarist and friend Jim Mullen, Stuart has also produced Gordon Haskell and the Swedish singer-songwriter, Meja. 

In 2006, Stuart toured with Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band as bassist. He joined Starr again for the 2008 tour, where he performed "Pick Up The Pieces" and "Work To Do".


Joining Hamish on stage will be Bermudian Andy Newmark – well known to many in Bermuda – a drummer to so many in the rock, funk & pop world. Andy grew up in Bermuda and his first big break was with SLY & the FAMILY Stone. He was also the drummer on Double Fantasy for John Lennon. Other artists he has recorded with and toured with include, Eric Clapton, Carly Simon, Pink Floyd, George Harrison, Ronnie Wood, Bryan Ferry, James Taylor, Nils Lofgren, Paul Carrack and many many more. Andy is truly a giant. He was a member of the BERMUDA JAM in the late 1960’s.

Joining Hamish on Keyboards is Jim Watson. Jim studied at the Leeds College of Music where he obtained a first class BA Honours degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music, studying piano with Nikki Isles. 

After Leeds he moved to London, studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Jazz and Studio music, studying, among others, with pianists Simon Purcell and John Taylor. 

Moving to London in 1996, Jim began to work with a broad selection of artists both in the jazz and the pop idiom and continues to enjoy a varied selection of work with many different performers both live and in the recording studio. 

Among others he has performed with Meshell Ndegeocello, Gary Barlow, Marti Pellow, Cat Stevens, Paloma Faith Chris Difford (Squeeze), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Zero 7 (world tour), Brand New Heavies, Incognito(world tour), Omar, James Taylor Quartet, Patti Austin(Berghausen Jazz Festival), Guy Barker International Septet, Gary Moore, BBC big band, Clark Tracey, Alan Barnes, Peter King, Jean Toussaint.... 

He has recently performed with Katie Melua, and with Manu Katche’s band (Sting, Peter

Joining Hamish on guitar is ADAM PHILLIPS: Adam Phillips is a British jazz and blues guitarist and singer. His thoughtful and tasteful playing has earned him a place among the very finest of UK session guitarists. His playing graces an ever expanding and diverse catalogue of recordings: switch the radio on for just half an hour and there’s a very good chance you’ll hear him. He’s played and recorded with, among many others, David Bowie, Enrique Iglesias, Tina Turner, Lionel Ritchie, Cher, Richard Ashcroft, James Morrison and Rod Stewart. He currently plays with the Straits (Dire Straits' Alan Clark and Chris White with five hand picked, world class musicians - Terence Reis, Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mickey Féat, Adam Phillips and Jamie Squire - performing the music of Dire Straits).




Founder Lizzy May, contributed her cello parts to many tracks on the Lennon Bermuda album. A former player with BOND, Lizzy formed her own high powered Electric String ensemble. Whilst in Bermuda they will give a master class to the Bermuda School of Music.

Jamie Lawson's reputation as an artist and writer has soared in the last year. A number 1 single in Ireland and a youtube page that boasts well over half a million views have given him the perfect platform to build a following devoted to lyrics with depth and their heartfelt delivery.


Powerhouse vocalist Chrissi Poland weaves together the sounds of soul, rock, jazz and pop, creating her unique and captivating tone, compelling people to wonder how "that voice comes from that little body." Ms. Poland, (also a writer and multi-instrumentalist) has recently released her new EP Reckless Ones, and has shared the studio and stage with several acclaimed artists including Nile Rodgers, Moby, Scissor Sisters, Sting, The Edge, Will Lee, Dave Weckl, Kylie Minogue, Elvis Costello, Clint Black and legendary Stax "Soul Man" Sam Moore (formerly of Sam & Dave). One of the pioneers of soul, Sam says of Chrissi: “Now this is a girl you GOT to hear.”

The Bermuda School of Music, a not-for-profit registered Bermuda charity #483, has been providing music education to the Island since 1978, commencing with the Dunbarton School of Music and followed by several mergers including that of the Bermuda Academy of Music and the Bermuda Conservatory of Music in 2001.


Offering the finest musical education by a highly qualified local and international staff, the school provides instruction for children and adults in piano, voice, organ, recorder, flute, saxophone, clarinet, guitar (classical and electric), percussion, steel pan and all string instruments. There are also classes in music theory, composition and jazz studies.


The history of PEACE ONE DAY:  BERMUDA can play it’s part !
