Shipping: Hamilton Princess pontoons arrive
The pontoons for the Fairmont Hamilton Princess new marina arrive in Bermuda today on board the MV Capri.
The ship, which is equipped with onboard cranes, originates in Sweden and is due to get into the Flag Ship berth in Dockyard this morning.
Dozens of floating docks will be unloaded into the water and then towed to the hotel in Hamilton.
The ship is then expected to leave Bermuda on Friday.
A little further west, the usual cruise duo of the Norwegian Breakaway and Celebrity Summit arrive in Dockyard.
At the other end of the island, the tanker Iron Point is scheduled to come alongside at the Oil Docks today as well.
The tanker is bringing in jet fuel for Esso.
This Friday, the Vision of the Seas will make her first of three trips to Bermuda this year.
The liner originates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a stop in Charlestown, South Carolina, before docking at King’s Wharf for two nights before headingto Nassau and Coco Cay, Bahamas, before heading back to Florida.
The Norwegian Dawn returns to Dockyard this Sunday for her sixth trip of the year so far.
