It’s been a whirlwind month for Premier Michael Dunkley.

Not only did he rise to the top political office in Bermuda, but he also managed to rocket into the top 10 Klout Scores in Bermuda.

Klout measures a variety of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, among others — to see how much influence a person has.

Premier Dunkley is the first politician to make the Bermuda list.

Since becoming Premier early in May, Mr Dunkley has become a SoMe (social media) hero with an increase in posts to his Facebook page and Twitter account, which helped propel him up the Bermuda rankings.

The Premier saw a five-point jump in his Klout score.

That was the second-biggest jump of the month behind Hannah Collins’ rise from 60 points to 67.

Ms Collins is tied for eight on the Bermuda list with Karriem Sharrieff.

The top three biggest social media influencers continue to be Fox news commentator and former WWE champ John Layfield, and musicians Collie Buddz and Heather Nova.

Shari Lynn Pringle continues to rise as she moved from seventh to fourth.

Forbes writer Clare O’Connor dropped one spot to fifth but her score remained at 70 points.

Tied for sixth at 69 points were Bernews and the Bermuda Sun’s Carla Zuill.

Making his first appearance in the rankings is Bermemes’ Makeem Bartley at number 15 with 64 points.

The Bermemes crew is well-represented with Mr Sharrieff joined by Dejon Simons at #23 and Bermemes at #15. Eilzabete Varao barely missed the top 35 with 58 points.

There is no search for Bermuda-related Klout people. If you would like to be included on next month’s list and have a score of at least 50, either e-mail Don Burgess at [email protected] or Tweet him at DonatBDASun with a link to your Klout page.
