Premier visits Dockyard businesses

The Premier and Minister of National Security the Hon. Michael H. Dunkley took the opportunity recently to walkabout Dockyard’s Clocktower Mall.

The Premier briefly met proprietors of the businesses and heard directly from them how their trade was going.

The Premier said, “The cruise ship season is in full swing now and so tourist activity in the immediate area is increasing. The shop-owners were largely optimistic and from the variety available in the Clocktower I’m sure visitors will find something special by which to remember Bermuda.

“I wanted to encourage and support these entrepreneurs who are making every effort to achieve business success in challenging times. It is important that they know that their Government is committed to creating the climate for that success.”

Among some of the stores visited were Nannini’s Haagen Daz Ice Cream store, Bermuda Triangle, Lisa Anne Rego’s Gallery and Hand Made Bermuda Ltd.
