Nahki Wells has set a 25-goal target for the new Championship season.
The Bermuda star striker has just returned from a pre-season trip to Portugal with his club Huddersfield Town, who beat SC Portimonense 4-1 during the training camp.
Wells has already opened his pre-season account, netting in the 3-1 win over Cypriot side AEL Limassol just over a week ago.
And ahead of his first full season in England’s second tier, the 23-year-old says he is ready to continue football education with the Terriers.
“I am looking at the 25 mark at least and I know I am capable,” he told the Huddersfield Examiner.
“I got games (22 of them) and goals under my belt in the Championship last season.
“That is something for me to build on, and my aim is to stay healthy, continue learning and keep scoring.”
He added: “Pre-season is going well. We’re working hard, but it’s been enjoyable, and we all know the importance of this period.
“We’re getting fitter and sharper all the time, and everything is geared towards that big first Championship game.”
Town kick off at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, August 9.
