Governor shows support for Meals on Wheels
Governor George Fergusson and his wife paid a visit to Meal On Wheels for a tour of the facility and to meet the loyal group of volunteers who work there.
The Governor accompanied regular volunteer, Jenny West on her route through Ord Road and St Mary’s road and assisted in delivering the meals to all 14 clients meeting them at their doorstep.
MOW delivers anywhere from 170 up to 200 meals a day.
Volunteering with the charity gives the opportunity to support vulnerable and elderly members of the community.
