The timing of how and when God moves on your situation is a very complex matter.
It can be very difficult for humanity to understand the timing of the deity.
What you and I may consider to be off timing or the wrong timing, for God it is absolutely perfect timing.
Can you imagine that you who are finite would even question the infinite God who established time in the first place?
Yet, this is most certainly the case amongst Christians and sinners.
In the challenge of your humanity and in the face of difficult situations, it becomes very difficult for one to trust that God has His divine eye upon your situation and will work things according to His own sound counsel.
Can you imagine how Mordecai and Esther must have felt?
They knew that Haman had initiated a decree that would set about the total destruction of their people.
They understood that the plan of Haman was “around the corner” and that the end of a people was near.
Yet, they communicated with God through fasting and praying.
For that, God was about to reward them with fascinating, unusual favour.
Previously, Mordecai planted seeds of integrity when he heard that two of the king’s servants planned to overthrow him.
Mordecai communicated that plot to those who were loyal servants to the king, and the king’s life and position was secured. Mordecai was never rewarded.
One might think that God had forgotten the good work he had done.
Yet, that was not so.
It will always be at God’s appointed time that He will step in and you will reap the rewards of your good work.
Esther Chapter 6:
The Triumph of Mordecai
Esther 6 – 1 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
3 And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
Such was the timing for Mordecai and Esther.
The king was not able to sleep.
Even though he had his fill of wine and should have easily been lolled to sleep, it was not so; he was wide-awake.
The king requested that the book of chronicles, or the diary concerning his rule, should be read to him.
It was during that reading that the king heard about the plot against him.
He also heard Mordecai’s name mentioned as the one who saved his life and leadership.
Mordecai had never been honoured, the king thought that unacceptable, and at that very moment, he stepped in to set the record straight.
The king was going to reward Mordecai.
Well, it turned out that it was the best possible time for Mordecai to receive fascinating favour. That was just what he needed.
If there was ever a time that a miracle of favour was needed for the Jews, it was then.
The king ordered that Mordecai be honoured with all the prestige, pomp, and circumstance worthy of a king. And guess who was going to bestow all of the favour to Mordecai? Haman!
Esther 6: 7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
8 Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
9 And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
Yes, God will cause your enemies to become your footstool.
God will turn situations completely around.
