The biggest gossip story of the week has to be Jude Law telling a jury then-girlfriend Sienna Miller cheated on him back in 2005 with Daniel Craig.
Here’s a bit of the backstory.
Jude Law testified in the ongoing News of the World phone hacking trial earlier this week. Former editors of Britain’s News of the World are on trial for secretly hacking various celebrities’ phones for information about their private lives
Radar says Law was present to testify about an October 2005 story that revealed then-girlfriend Miller was cheating on him with Craig. He told the court the entire story was true and that he had called Craig to confront him about the allegations.
Law told the court that in August of that year, he found out it was a family member who was leaking the information. He wasn’t aware that the mole was being paid until the the newspaper’s lawyer revealed it during cross-examination.
So basically Miller and Craig were having an affair and Craig and Law’s friendship unravelled as a result. On top of all this, it was earlier in 2005 that Law was caught cheating on Miller with his kids’ nanny.
To add insult to injury, a former reporter Dan Evans testified that he hacked into Craig’s voicemails and found one from Miller.
The message said: “Hi, it’s me. I can’t speak, I’m at the Groucho with Jude. I love you.” So juicy!
I’ve got an update for you on the Kanye West drama from last week. To recap, TMZ reported the rapper beat up an 18-year-old kid after he hurled racial slurs at fiancée Kim Kardashian. Long story short; the incident happened at a Beverley Hills medical building. Kim allegedly called Kanye after feeling threatened by the teenager and he came to her rescue by attacking him.
This week, TMZ is reporting that a civil settlement was reached between the teenager’s camp and team West. He reportedly settled for more than $250,000.
It was reported that the teen didn’t want to go through criminal proceedings and preferred to go the civil route.
On the one hand, $250,000 is a lot of money to give a kid who verbally attacked your fiancée. But when you’re Kanye West and are rolling in dough, plus you’re known for being aggressive, it’s just a drop in the bucket.
