Man, 53, injured in Southampton assault

Around 8:45pm on Sunday, January 19th first responders attended a reported assault at a Middle Road, Southampton property.

It appears that the victim, a 53 year old Southampton man, encountered an unknown man on the property who reportedly struck the Southampton resident in the head with a blunt object. The suspect, described as a dark skinned male approximately 6’3” to 6’6” tall wearing a greyish sweater with a hood over his head, then left the area in a dark coloured car.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was treated for his injury and discharged.
