Around 7:15pm on Saturday, January 18th first responders were dispatched to a reported medical emergency at the L.F. Wade International Airport after an American Airlines flight en route from New York to St. Kitts diverted to Bermuda with an unresponsive female passenger.

However despite CPR given by medical personnel onboard the flight and continued by EMTs as the 58 year old St. Kitts native was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, she was later pronounced dead by an on call doctor at 8:25pm Saturday.

Her passing is not considered to be suspicious as the deceased apparently had pre-existing medical conditions which may have contributed to her death.
