Shipping: Tug arrives with construction supplies
The tug Michael J McAllister rolled into Dockyard at the weekend with construction supplies for two major projects.
She came alongside at the Knuckles slightly behind schedule on Saturday together with the barge Gale Force.
The cargo included infrastructure that will be used in the Hamilton Fairmont marina project as well as material that will be used in the final stages of the Victoria Place development in the West End.
The tug and barge will remain in Bermuda for the next couple of days as they wait for a weather window to return to Norfolk in the US.
Meanwhile tomorrow afternoon the Diego will arrive in Dockyard to deliver cement for construction schemes across the island.
She will arrive at around 2pm just by the cement silos and is expected to be here until the weekend.
The two container ships, Oleander and Bermuda Islander, make up the shipping schedule for the week.
The Oleander was back in Hamilton on Monday, while the Islander arrives in the capital tomorrow morning to deliver fresh food and produce.
