A 42-year-old man today denied causing $1,000 in damages to a truck and a police car.

Jay Chantez Ming of Devonshire pleaded not guilty to causing $500 damage to the front windscreen of  a Bermuda Gas truck on January 10 and causing $500 damage to the bonnet of a police car on the same day.

Mr Ming was also charged with making threatening gestures to a police office and lunging towards him in a threatening manner and violently resisting arrest.

He denied both of those charges.

The incident allegedly happened in the Warwick Long Bay parking lot.

The matter was adjourned to May 8 for trial and Mr Ming was granted $2,000 bail.
