The barge Gale Force is back in Bermuda this week, but this time she has a new tug in the shape of the Kirsten Grace.
The dynamic duo are scheduled to arrive in Dockyard on Friday from Norfolk in the US with more construction material.
The cargo will be used in the Victoria Park housing project as well as the Hamilton Princess marina.
Gale Force was in Bermuda just last month making a similar delivery to the island with the tug Michael McAllister.
The barge and tug’s return journey was delayed due to bad weather in the Atlantic, and this time Kirsten Grace’s crew will have to wait and see when a weather window opens up for them to return to the US.
It’s been pretty rough off the east coast of the US this week, which has forced the Oleander into a late arrival.
She arrived in Hamilton today a day behind schedule, but is hoping to make up time before next week and make her normal Monday slot.
The fuel tanker Berceo also arrived in Bermuda today.
She pulled up alongside the Oil Docks in St George’s to deliver supplies for Esso at 8am and is due to leave later today.
Finally the Somers Isles and her cargo of 90 containers is due into Hamilton Wednesday morning, and will be followed by the Bermuda Islander Thursday morning.
