Back in the day: Musicians named

The strapping young men in last week’s photo were instantly recognized by two of our readers. Alfred Scott and Colbert Pearman called in to confirm that the well-dressed chaps were (from left to right) Shirley Franks, Stuart Minors, Bernell Williams, Lloyd Simmons and Donald Woods.

Mr Pearman also informed us that Lloyd Simmons was a calypso entertainer, as was piano and accordion player Donald Woods, which explain those sharp shirts.

I attend the same gym (Olympic Club) as Bernell Williams; he went on to be a competitive bodybuilder and now teaches jujitsu at the facility. n
