The Progressive Labour Party would like to publicly congratulate our Member of Parliament for Constituency 35, Sandys North Central, Mr. Dennis Lister on his achievement of 25 years in the House of Assembly.
Mr. Lister currently sits as the longest serving member of the House of Assembly. Mr. Lister was part of the "Class of '89" which featured such political giants as former Premiers Dame Jennifer Smith & Dr. David Saul, former Health Minister the late Nelson Bascome, former Tourism Minister Mr. David Allen, the late Mr. Julian Hall, and Mr. Stuart Hayward.
Mr. Lister has served in Cabinet as the Minister of Youth, Sport & Recreation and also as Minister of Works & Engineering.
"MP Lister has always been there to provide counsel and advice as one of the elders of the Progressive Labour Party", spoke PLP Leader Marc Bean. "Over the past year I have been able to call on him to assist in many ways and he has always been willing and able to produce. He has served his constituents well and that has been rewarded by his success at the last six general elections."
We honor Mr. Dennis Lister on his achievement and his unwavering commitment to the people of Bermuda.
