The distinctively green form of the Suez Boston called into Bermuda Monday night so a crew member could fly home.

The tanker was on her way from Boston to Trinidad when she diverted into Five Fathom Hole off St David’s.

The ship met up with the pilot boat at around 6:30pm so the technician could be brought ashore and then fly back to Holland.

The tanker, which holds liquid natural gas, was only off our shores for a matter of hours before she continued on her way to the Caribbean.

Otherwise it’s a quiet week on the seas.

The Oleander headed back to the east coast of the US yesterday and will be back in Hamilton on Monday.

Meanwhile the Bermuda Islander, which was forced to break through ice last week on her journey out of Salem, is back on schedule and should get into the capital at around 7am on Thursday.
