Peter Dill maintained his position at the top of the 420 Class standings in the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club’s Frostbite Series at the weekend.
Dill produced a consistent day’s sailing to record three seconds and a first out of the six races held.
It was a performance that left him in the overall lead on 45 (nett) points.
Mikey Wollmann is in second spot, although he failed to make any serious inroads into the series standings despite a win and a flurry of third-place finishes.
Sunday’s meet arguably belonged to James Amaral after he turned on the style with three wins and two seconds and he occupies third place in the overall series.
Adam Barboza was the other race winner from the weekend, claiming victory in Sunday’s opening 420 showdown.
There were three boats in action in the Laser Radial Class and Steve O’Reilly was able to strengthen his position in top spot. He claimed three wins and three second places from the six races sailed. With a 28 (nett) point overall lead in the series he’s in prime position right now.
In second is Anthony Buckley, who endured a tough run, finishing third in all races.
Thomas Penruddocke, meanwhile, was in impressive form as he won three and bagged two runner-up spots.
It was his first time out since the opening race day and he lies fifth overall.
