The Bermuda Football Association has announced that four players will play for the IMG Academy in the United Soccer League Premier Development League (PDL).

Casey Castle, Drewonde Bascome, Jaylen Harvey and Tre Ming will find themselves competing with the IMG Academy in the United Soccer League Premier Development League (PDL) this summer.

IMG enjoyed a successful tour of Bermuda over the Easter weekend where we saw them bring U14 boys, U14 girls, U15 and U16 boys teams to play against the National Academy and local club opposition.

The BFA and IMG have established a M.O.U and through the partnership another opportunity for Bermuda players to continue their development has risen. One of the objectives of the BFA is to continuously provide opportunities like this for our Bermudian players (male & female) to aid in their individual development and the future development of the Bermuda National Teams.

Scott Dean, IMG Director of Soccer, said: “We are excited to have four of Bermuda’s finest footballers join the IMG PDL team for the 2014 season. This just further strengthens the great working relationship between IMG and the BFA. We now in a short period of time are involved from grassroots programmes through the professional ranks. We look forward to seeing the continued development and what the future holds for IMG and the BFA"

Previously the Bermuda Hogges participated in the Player Development League and the Hogges owner Mr. Paul Scope has provided funding to assist the players with their dietary requirements during their time at IMG. This collaboration with the BFA underlines the commitment of the Bermuda Hogges, and Paul Scope, to continue to aid the development of the Bermuda players seeking to advance to the professional ranks, while also helping to benefit our national team.
