Street style: Sisters talkin’ style...

Describe your style?

K) For me the most important thing is comfort, I tend to stick to neutral colours just because I feel like it can give you more options and a lot more things to do with them.  But lately I have been trying to move towards brighter colours.

S) I just kind of wear anything that attracts me eye. I tend to wear a lot of colours most of the time, but I try to change it up with different styles.

Where do you shop for clothes?  

K) In Bermuda, mostly at Gibbons Company... Other than that I mostly shop away.

S) I tend to just browse around Bermuda, there’s no where in particular that I always find stuff.  But otherwise I probably did a lot of online shopping before I came back to the island. 


Walk us through your current outfit and where each item came from.

K) I am wearing a sweater-dress from Victoria Secret... and my shoes are from Nine West, which I bought at Gibbons Company. My bag is Michael Kors, and he is definitely one of my favourite designers. My glasses are Prada, which I picked up during my honeymoon.

S) My shoes I got on sale from Top Shop...This sweatshirt-dress is from H&M, my bag is from TJMax, and I think my glasses are from Accessorize.

Three products you could not live without? 

K) My cellphone — ever since I got an iPhone I have managed to consolidate my whole live into it. I have also been using those EOS lip glosses a lot lately, the little round ones. And then tinted moisturizer.

S) Lip balm —  I like the Vaseline tinted lip gloss — nail polish, and rings.  I could live without them but they’re always fun.

Which outfit makes you feel sexiest?

K) Probably a form-fitting knee-length dress, with some heels.

S) I don’t know about outfit, but I always like wearing black, just cause it’s very French and it’s always kind of classic. And with red lipstick.

Stylish Bermudians?

S) My friend Aliyyah Ahad is really well-dressed, and I swear it’s because she lived in France for a year. And Adrian Lathan, he was in the Happy video, he has really good style as well.

Most stylish celebrity?

K) Miranda Kerr, she’s pretty awesome. I like the beauty products she promotes, and the clothes that she wears. I know she does promo for H&M and Michael Kors, two brands I really like — obviously.

S) I recently saw pictures of Fearne Cotton, the BBC radio presenter, and she also does a lot of TV presenting. And she’s really bizarre but she really seems comfortable in her own skin and not afraid to weary crazy shoes with something kind of toned down up top, she’s cool.

Top three albums or tracks you are listening to right now?

K) I like Drake’s album — I am just an all-around Drake fan

S) Lately I have been listening to a lot of Top Forty, or anything that’s on the radio.

Apps you can’t live without?

K) I definitely use Instagram a lot, but I don’t really post on it, but it’s something to look at while I am bored. My calendar app on my phone keeps me organized and reminds me of everything, that, and my To Do list.

S) I do like Instagram and Pinterest, anything visual like that, but I also like radio apps that can consolidate music.

Favourite social media platform?

K) Facebook, even though it’s probably the older out of all of them, I still stick to it because it’s easy to get in contact with people, look at pictures… it covers everything. 

S) I hate Facebook right now, so probably just Instagram, it just seems to weed out a lot of the nonsense.
