Gwen gets a total Makeover

From curled-up blond to a flaxen mahogany brown, we gave our Makeover winner Gwendolyn Creary a dramatic new look. And we love it! 

Next month the Bermuda Sun has changed the rules of its Monthly Makeover competition to make it much easier for you to enter. 

All entrants will have to do is to email their contact details and the answer to a very simple question each month to be eligible to win this fantastic monthly prize. In June our makeover will focus on the Prom — so only attendees should enter.

The make-up - Christopher Vee

Gwendolyn has such a lovely manner about her that I did not feel a lot of makeup was required for her personality to shine through! 

• I wanted colours to complement her new hair colour thanks to Serena at Salon Visage (see below). 

• My go-to creme foundations from Kryolan were used to highlight, shade and even out her tones. 

• I used gold shimmer on the lid for a soft glow and when I added a full set of false lashes to Gwendolyn, which she had never tried before, I knew the look was complete without overdoing it. 

• Black pencil eyeliner from Kryolan was used on top and bottom for definition. 

• An apricot blush brought warmth and light to her cheeks and I finished with a vibrant violet coloured semi-matte lipstick for a pop of colour!

The Hair - Serena Honeyghan

Gwendolyn’s hair colour was changed from a very light blond to a rich mahogany brown for a dramatic makeover. 

• Her curls were also flat-ironed straight for a smooth, sleek finish. 

• The Healthy Sexy Hair programme was used to maximize the condition of the hair.
