Who hasn't found comfort in a pint of of ice cream during troubling times? You can add Bradford City striker Nahki Wells to the millions of people who used the creamy goodness to restore a smile.
Wells took some solace in a pint Haagen-Dazs Saturday night after being injured earlier in the day in a 2-1 Bradford City win.
Wells injured his ankle as his Bantams snatched a 2-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town in stoppage time on James Hanson’s winner.
When Wells came off the pitch he was greeted by a standing ovation from the 14,000-strong Bradford City faithful.
He spent Saturday night resting it.
He tweeted to his followers: “Gutted to be home on sofa while all lads are getting suited and booted for night out!”
He later tweeted a photo of Haagen-Dazs Cookies & Cream “This will cheer me up.”
There was no word on how serious the injury was or whether or not Wells will be fit for the next Bradford City match.
