If you could do it all again would you do it differently?
My response is that I would do everything exactly the same. You see, if I go back in time, I will be the very same person I was with no knowledge of the future and so I would make the same choices and end up right where I am, right now.
So, here is my advice to you. Do not torture yourself with where you are now or where you would be if you had made different choices.
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
In other words, “it is what it is”. To God, the present that we are currently living has already happened. God knows your end from your beginning. God will not be caught by surprise with the choices you make. Now, of course God desires that His creation make the godly choices.
Unfortunately, mankind has become more dependent upon their own thoughts rather than the thoughts of God.
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Mankind truly believes that they know what is best and that they can live a successful life outside of the confines or guidance of the Bible. How sad that is. Can you imagine the creation telling the Creator that they have no need of Him?
Wow. Perhaps, now you can understand why the world is becoming more evil and sinful. We are living in a world where many do not acknowledge God, but by default acknowledge the devil and honour his ways.
Your mind-set will set you on a path of success or a path of failure. Your mind-set will convince you that you still can do all you desire to do, or it will convince you that life is hopeless and that you will not be able to accomplish what is in your heart to accomplish. My advice to you is to make up your mind according to the desires of your heart.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
There it is ladies and gentlemen. The power of choice is largely based on how you talk, and how you speak is based on the contents of your heart. You must be sure to have a clean, clear, and contemplating heart.
Yes, a contemplating heart. Your heart must always be thinking about your purpose and your destiny. Your heart must always be fuelled with good thoughts about you. Yes, you! Positive You must see yourself at a better place tomorrow and next week and next month compared to where you are today. Speak to yourself words of kindness and care.
When you begin to do that, you will begin to reshape your future and your choices will then line up with the good words of life that you are speaking. You have plenty of power or plenty of words to change the course of your life. Just do it!
A new future filled with wonderful dreams that have come true is waiting just for you. Respice finem.
