A 26-year-old man today denied importing a prohibited weapon.

Devonne Hodgson pleaded not guilty to importing a Galaxy Air 6 BB gun on August 29 in St George’s.

The court heard Mr Hodgson arrived on British Airways that evening and the gun was found in pieces in various parts of his luggage.

The gun was allegedly complete aside from the trigger.

The matter was adjourned to December 6 for trial and Mr Hodgson was granted $5,000 bail.

He must wear an electronic monitoring device and adhere to a 9pm to 6am curfew.
