Casino games, great food, drinks and a fabulous location made the first annual Raleigh Bermuda Monte Carlo Casino event a success.
The event was held at Pier Six under the stars last night.
When guests arrived, they were given a cup with chips to play games and two drink tickets.
Games included Crown and Anchor, Roulette, Blackjack and Craps.
Each table was surrounded by guests having a great time.
Premier Craig Cannonier and his wife Antoinette were among the 200 strong guests. Former Premier Paula Cox and her husband Germaine Nkeuleu were also in attendance.
Food stations were provided by the Island Restaurant group and featured a guacamole station, fresh oyster and ceviche, a gourmet dessert bar and a stay station with chicken, wahoo, sausage and steak.
A large pan of vegetarian Paella was also offered. A full bar was in the back for guests to enjoy libations.
Music filled the venue thanks to DJ Tan Zaoui who played a mix of pop, reggae, soca, old school and new music.
Raleigh Bermuda executive director Kristin White organised the event. It will be her last major fundraiser as she is due to step down later this year.
She said: “I am truly overwhelmed by how amazing our first major fundraising event was.
“From the turnout, to the food, to the venue - we really couldn't be more pleased.
“Everyone was enjoying the casino games, even though it was all for play money .
“The atmosphere was lively and energetic, and it was wonderful to see a really diverse group of people having fun together - all for a great cause”.
She continued: “I am extremely grateful to our dedicated volunteer organisers - we worked very hard to ensure the event was top class.
“Our sponsors and vendors that gave financial and in-kind donations, our volunteers that helped set-up, run games, sell tickets, and work the bar - everyone just gave so freely because they believe in Raleigh.
“I am so grateful and also excited, as this has surely laid the foundation for Raleigh to host a successful annual unique fundraiser.”
In addition to the games and food, there was also a silent auction with prizes including a dinner for ten and a dinner for four and cooking demo by Jamaican Grill.
