Mother denies assault on Premier's daughter
Recquel Furbert, 24, denied assaulting Samaela Cannonier and causing her bodily harm on August 4. She will face trial in December.
A 24-year-old mother today denied assaulting a St George’s woman.
Recquel Furbert of St George’s pleaded not guilty to assaulting Samaela Cannonier and thereby causing her bodily harm on August 4.
Ms Cannonier is the daughter of Premier Craig Cannonier.
Ms Furbert told the court she was due to go back to New York for school at the end of the month.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned the matter to September 17 and set a trial date of December 19.
Ms Furbert was granted $2,000 bail.
