The Fleming family has always done things in twos.
And as the parents of two sets of twins the beginning of a new school year tends to be a little chaotic.
Today, the start of term began at 6am as Claudette prepared the breakfast, while her husband, Keithlyn, made up lunch boxes for their youngest set of twins; Joshua and Kaelyn.
The two seven-year-olds are about to begin their third year at Northlands Primary School in Pembroke.
Mrs Fleming told the Sun: “The first day of the school year is always chaotic.
“But we have got used to it and everyone plays their part in making sure we are ready for the beginning of term.
“Joshua and Kaelyn are a lot easier to handle because we went through it all with Akilah and Aquila before.”
She added: “This year Joshua and Kaelyn have a new principal at Northlands, which they both are excited about.
“They both love school but for different reasons.
“Kaelyn gets the high grades, whereas Joshua is a very sociable boy who just loves being around people.
“They both have new book bags this year, but apart from that they managed to take pretty good care of their uniform and all their other stuff, so we did not have to make too many new purchases for the new school year.“
The Fleming household is a little busier this year too as both the older twins, who are 22, are also back in Bermuda after returning from studies.
Mrs Fleming added: “Having four adults and two children in the house can be a little challenging at times.
“But we support each other and we try to help the older twins where we can with lifts to work and suchlike.
“The good thing about having a big
family is you have more of a support system and that helps at busy times especially.” n
