A young Bermudian chef has made it to the finals of the Rising Chef competition.
Kieshe Simmons is the only female in the competition of 12 chefs and won the third night of the semi-finals. Her winning dish was mushroom herb crusted rack of lamb with goats cheese sweet peppers polenta, paw paws and mint chutney & Sous Vide lamb loin with roasted pumpkin and tomato thyme jus.
She is one of the three Bermudians who entered.
She’ll be joined by Chef Ryan Lampano from Cambridge Beaches, who was raised in Bermuda and is a graduate of the Bermuda College, as well as Grotto Bay Chef Rakesh Nurkoo and another finalist on Friday for the finals at International Imports.
