Devonshire man denies sex assault
A 21-year-old man today denied sexually assaulting a young girl.
The Devonshire man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with committing a sexual assault on the girl between January 1, 2011 and January 31, 2012.
The girl was aged nine or ten at the time.
He is alleged to have pushed her face to his groin area and told her to perform a sex act.
The matter was adjourned to January 16 for trial. The defendant was granted $10,000 bail with one surety.
