They’ve been there for as long as you remember but how often do you show your appreciation to your grandparents? For those of you cringing, now’s your chance. The Fairmont Hamilton Princess is hosting a special Grandparent’s Brunch at Harley’s Restaurant this Sunday.
The brunch is designed to be a family affair.
To capture the memory, the hotel will have a photographer onsite to snap family photos that will be e-mailed to the family after the event.
To add a fun twist to the event, grandparents will be allowed to do what they love most — show off their grandchildren.
Grandparents are encouraged to provide proof of their status, which can be done in a variety of ways. For instance, they can bring a family photo album or an electronic device full of grandchildren photos or they can focus on their grandchildren’s talent by bringing their favourite piece of refrigerator art, homemade gift or even a homemade card specially made for Grandparents’ Day.
“The Fairmont Hamilton Princess is delighted to be honouring Bermuda’s grandparents,” said Len Czarnecki, general manager at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
“As the most iconic hotel in Bermuda, we appreciate and embrace the history of this island, which has been written by Bermuda’s grandparents. Not only are they the heads of the family unit, but also they provide us with a connection to the past while helping to shape the future for generations to come.”
The Grandparents’ brunch will be served from noon to 3:30pm. For non-grandparents, the cost of the brunch is $42 per person for adults, $21 for children ages 5-12 and free for children ages 5 and under. For more information or to make reservations, please call 295-3000.
