Donald Park says David Moyes is the best coach to come through the SFA ranks in recent times and backed him to recover from a shaky start as Manchester United boss.
Moyes helps put on sessions for the SFA and Park said his fellow Scot has ‘unbelievable knowledge’ of the game.
He told the Sun: “Probably the best [I’ve worked with] is David Moyes and we have Sir Alex Ferguson — arguably the best coach ever so we are very fortunate of the profile Scottish coaches have.
“Moyes’ attitude to coaching and his knowledge is fantastic. He has been very helpful with our pro-licence.
“It’s a hell of a thing to follow [Sir Alex] — is that not the most difficult job in the world?
“But cut the man down the middle and he is a fantastic professional who has unbelievable knowledge of the game. He is the ideal man to take over from Sir Alex and I’m desperate for him to do well.
“[Cardiff boss] Malky MacKay is another one. He finished up his licence two years ago and he can be another top, top coach.”
