Sandys man in court on firearm charges
A Sandys man appeared in court this morning charged with firearm and ammunition possession.
At the monthly arraignment session in Supreme Court, which lasted for three hours, Romano Mills, 26 denied possession of a firearm without a valid license on June 18.
Mr Mills also denied possession of ten rounds of different kinds of ammunition on the same date and possession of cannabis with intent to supply in an increased penalty zone.
Finally, Mr Mills pleaded not guilty to violently resisting arrest while two officers were in the act of arresting him on the same date.
He was remanded into custody until the next arraignment session.
An 18-year-old man today denied three counts of having sex with a young girl.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons is alleged to have had unlawful carnal knowledge with thegirl under the age of 14 on May 31, June 8 and June 10.
He will stand trial on December 9 and was released on bail.
Xavier Trace Douglas, 52, denied stealing a credit balance to the value of $70,000 between September 19 and September 22, 2012 belonging to an elderly couple.
Mr Douglas also denied abusing the couple by financial exploitation during the same period.
The matter was rolled over to the next arraignment session.
